Seed - Crops

AQUASOIL SS CORP is exporting high yield, high performance, high quality U.S. Non-GMO CORN SEED to its territories in North Africa and other countries.  We are proud to carry some of the finest genetics in Corn Seed available to our customers, specifically designed for the special climates experienced in this region of the world, and with new varieties coming soon which will be able to grow anywhere.  We have been able to see up to a 466% increase in crop yield (in Southern Libya), when our fertilizer program(s) are implemented with the planting of these extraordinary seeds.

This corn seed is preferred in Saudi Arabia because of its consistently high quality and yields, year in and year out.  These seeds are able to hold up under the stress of some of the more extreme weather and soil conditions, especially when our Liquid Fertilizers are used in an appropriate application program during the growing season, along with proper soil and water analysis.

DURUM WHEAT has the hardest of all the wheat kernels.  It contains the highest proportion of protein of any of the classes of wheat.  This Wheat is primarily used in the production of pasta, spaghetti, macaroni and other various pastas.  Thus, it is often referred to as macoroni wheat.

Hard Red Winter Wheat: The primary use of Hard Red Winter Wheat Flour is for bread making.

ALFALFA (Medicago sativa) has often been referred to as the "Queen of Forages" because it is an excellent source of protein and digestible fiber, as well as its wide adaptation.   Alfalfa has a high mineral content and contains at least 10 different vitamins.  It is also an important source of vitamin A.  Alfalfa improves soil tilth and in symbiosis with nitrogen fixing bacteria, is highly effective in converting atmospheric nitrogen to biological nitrogen.  Thus, alfalfa is an ideal crop for use in crop rotation to improve soil tilth and replenish nutrients depleted from soil by other crops such as corn.

We deal in non dormant ratings varieties of 8-10 varieties for desert climates.  Non dormant varieties are less responsive to photo period (day length) and will continue to grow through the winter as long as temperatures are favorable.

CUF 101

CUF 101 was adapted to the low desert valley areas of Southern California where damage from the blue alfalfa aphid may be severe and winter production is desired. The primary use will be for hay, pasture, green chop, and dehydration. CUF101 is highly resistant Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum), pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum), spotted alfalfa aphid (Threioaphis maculata), and blue alfalfa aphid (Acyrthosiphon kondoi), and It is moderately resistant to Phytophthora root rot (Phytophthora megasperma), and northern root knot nematode (Meloidogyne hapla). It is susceptible to bacterial wilt (Clavibactor insidiosum). Resistance of this cultivar to Verticillium wilt (Verticillium albo-atrum),and Aphanomyces root rot (Race 1) (Aphanomyces euteiches), and southern anthracnose (Colletotrichum trifolii) (Race1) is unknown.  Flower color is purple, growth habit is upright, and it is highly non-dormmant (group 9).

ASC Hightop

Hightop culitvar is highly non-dormant intended for hay, haylage, greenchop, and dehydration applications, and is highly resistant to Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxyporsum), pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum), spotted alfalfa aphid (Theioaphis maculata), and root knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita), and is resistant to Phytophthora root rot (Phytophhora me. gasperma) and blue alfalfa aphid (Acyrthosiphon kondoi).

Hightop alfalfa has been tested over a period of more than 9 years at four different locations, and displays consistently higher yields than existing commercial alfalfa strains. For example, the forage yield of Highline is 9% higher than CU101 and 4% higher than UC Cibola in these tests. The higher pest resistance and higher forage yield with an equivalent forage quality relative to other strains makes Highline an attractive candidate for it's commercialization in low regions.
